We are a small independently run campsite nestled in the heart of the serene hamlet of Lamérac. Situated amidst vineyards, walnut groves, cornfields and sunflower fields, our campsite offers a unique escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Our spacious grass pitches, adorned with the shade of ancient trees and equipped with electricity, provide the canvas for your outdoor adventure. Whether you arrive with a tent, caravan, or camper van, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it is memorable. For those seeking convenience, our static caravan and gite offer a cozy retreat amidst the beauty of the Charente region.
SURROUNDING AREA
Conveniently situated about 10 km from the national route N10 (15 minutes), Camping Chez Philipaud is very easy to get to. You’re welcome to overnight on your way further south to Bordeaux and Spain, or hang around for a few days to discover the delights of the Charente. We are a half-hour drive from Angoulême, making us easily accessible for those exploring the broader region. Our campsite offers the perfect base, allowing you to venture into the charming landscapes of the Charente or embark on journeys to nearby towns and attractions.
While our hamlet offers a serene escape, the nearby village of Baignes, a mere 5 km south, provides you with everyday essentials such as a supermarket, bakery, cafe and restaurant. Additionally, the larger market town of Barbezieux, just 8 km away, offers a taste of local life, where markets and bistros invite you to savour the regional delights.
For those with a passion for golf, the Golf Club de Montendre (26km away) or Hirondelle Golf Course (42 km away) provides an excellent opportunity to indulge in a round or two amid stunning landscapes.
